Since we had a gallery in Lisbon which was well known by dealing with some of the most notorious/representative
Portuguese painters from XIX-XX centuries, as well as the international contemporary artists we represented,
during 20 years (1992-2012),
If you're looking for something special, ask us, we just might help
If you're looking for LARGE SCALE stone sculptures, we might be able to show you a charming SCULPTURE GARDEN in an art studio just outside Lisbon
How it started... our hidden museum.
An old stable converted into a house/ studio by an artist couple as a jewel/ sculpture house.
The artistic adventure started in 1996 creating it's architectural solutions.
In almost 3 years, the contemporary art collection climbed its walls, took its ceilings, spread all over the floor, filling up these 230m² x 5m high and the 15 x 2m sculpture garden. After 26 years and having closed galeria Antiks Design in 2012,
we reopen privately.
Joining our international contemporary art collection to some of the most representative Portuguese artists since the 19th century to the present day, we can introduce YOU to Portuguese Art
Discover a private loft house/gallery, full of stories and history from the past
28 years.
Dive into over 300 original contemporary art pieces while enjoying the real
home cooked soul food meal by your host

Certainly one of TOP Portuguese artists ever. Between 1960 and 1971 he lived in Paris diving into abstraction, three-dimensional cut-outs and collages.
Joined one of the most important group of artists in the 60's in Paris, KWY Group with other stunning artists: René Bértholo, Lourdes Castro, António Costa Pinheiro, Gonçalo Duarte, João Vieira, Christo and Jan Voss.
Critical texts also in the unique "KWY " publications in Paris during the 60's.
In 2016 Lisbon's Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian - Centro de Arte Moderna held his retrospective exhibition.
Uwe Lindau ( DE 1950-2022)
Der Geräderte
signed and dated 1989
mixed media on wood
168 x 262cm
1979 Karlsruhe's Art Academy under Markus Lüpertz. IWKA group in the 80's with Georg Schalla and Ralf Bühler which "saved the building" and led to ZKM Museum.
Lindau devours huge history books, plays piano dramatically, has an accurate humour and a deep critic sense of mankind violence capacity and its hypocrisy such as the horrors of the Holocaust or the Inquisition.
He never leaves his studio:
-"THERE'S NO TIME - I MUST REACT!!!" strongly over his boards on infinite layers.
Würth is one of his biggest collectors.
"I'm not painting according to the established rules, you'll have to say that I'm exploding - occasionally - like a volcano - sleeping a hundred years and then ...
I do not listen to music when I paint - the TV is rushing to me.
Leonardo inspires me... I love piloting battles, but also the desert". Uwe Lindau.

Lately he focuses also on the lack of straight communication due to too much technology devices everywhere.
