SHORT BIO
Brazilian - MG pianist Simone Leitão maintains a busy schedule in the Americas, Europe and Asia, having performed four times at Carnegie Hall, New York.
She has been a soloist with the Filarmonica de Minas, the Miami, Brazilian, Campinas and National Symphonies and has recorded for BBC 3, Danish, Southern California Classical and MEC radio.
Simone Leitão has a PhD in Piano Performance and Musicology from the University of Miami and a Masters in Performance from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, where she teaches annually as an Artist in Residence.
She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Academia Jovem Concertante and the Rio de Janeiro Chamber Music Week.

BIOGRAPHY
SIMONE LEITÃO

Simone has a PhD in performance from the University of Miami, where she was a student of Ivan Davis (Horowitz's disciple), a Master's degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music and a Bachelor's degree from UniRio. Her doctoral thesis was on the work Momoprecoce by Villa-Lobos.
The pianist from Minas Gerais (BR) frequently performs as a soloist with major Brazilian orchestras such as the Filarmônica de Minas Gerais, OSB, among others, as well as American orchestras such as the Miami Symphony Orchestra. He has collaborated with musicians such as Quarteto Brodsky, Henning Kraggerud, conductors Eduardo Marturet, Apo Hsu, Zoe Zeniodi, Luiz Malheiro, Daniel Guedes among others.
In 2013, award-winning filmmaker Katia Lund directed the documentary that deals with Simone Leitão's national tour playing Rachmaninoff's concert nº 2 and Prokofiev 1 called “Stop, Look, Listen”, which was shown on Arte 1.
Simone has already recorded for Danish Radio, BBC Radio 3, Southern California Classical Radio and records on the American label MSR classics.
Simone is the Founder and Artistic Director of Academia Jovem Concertante and Semana Internacional de Música de Camara, projects with 12 years of existence and which have the premise of qualifying young Brazilian musicians and validating concert music in the country, taking symphonic music to new audiences across the country.
Simone believes in entrepreneurship and communication as vital tools for the growth of concert music in the world. In 2024, Simone Leitão records another solo album.
Now with works by Rachmaninoff and Ravel in addition to doing another tour in Europe with 12 concerts in 10 countries, concerts in the USA and a Brazilian tour playing Grieg's concert.

This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND experience ...
How it started... An old stable converted into a house/studio by an artist couple as a living in jewel/ sculpture. The artistic adventure started in 1996 creating the architectural solutions. In almost 3 years the contemporary art collection climbed its walls, took its ceilings, spread all over the floor filling up these 230m² x 5 high and 15 x 2m sculpture garden.

CONCERT DINNER events are limited to 33 people (subject to availability).
From 6.30 pm. Door CLOSES at 7pm.
Our MENU, being plentiful, is always another pleasant surprise.
In addition to the various delicacies that await you upon arrival, after the concert, dishes of fish, meat and various salads and vegetables will be served.
Homemade cakes desert and an EXCLUSIVE GINGINHA always delight guests.
