Since we had a gallery in Lisbon which was well known by dealing with some of the most notorious/representative Portuguese painters from XIX-XX centuries,
as well as the international contemporary artists we represented,
during 20 years (1992-2012),
If you're looking for something special, ask us, we just might help!
If you aiming to see LARGE SCALE marble sculptures, we might be able to show you a charming SCULPTURE GARDEN just outside Lisbon
José Escada

Certainly one of TOP Portuguese artists ever. Between 1960 and 1971 he lived in Paris diving into abstraction, three-dimensional cut-outs and collages.
Joined one of the most important group of artists in the 60's in Paris, KWY Group with other stunning artists: René Bértholo, Lourdes Castro, António Costa Pinheiro, Gonçalo Duarte, João Vieira, Christo and Jan Voss.
Critical texts also in the unique "KWY " publications in Paris during the 60's.
In 2016 Lisbon's Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian - Centro de Arte Moderna had his retrospective exhibition.
Uwe Lindau
(DE 1950-2022)
Der Geräderte
signed/dated 1989
mixed media on wood
168 x 262 cm
1979 Karlsruhe's Art Academy under Markus Lüpertz. IWKA group in the 80's with Georg Schalla and Ralf Bühler which "saved the building" and led to ZKM Museum.
Lindau devours huge history books, plays piano dramatically, has an accurate humour and a deep critic sense of mankind violence capacity and its hypocrisy such as the horrors of the Holocaust or the Inquisition.
He used to never leave his studio:
-"THERE'S NO TIME - I HAVE TO REACT!!!" strongly over his boards on infinite layers.
Würth is one of his biggest collectors.
"I'm not painting according to the established rules, you'll have to say that I'm exploding - occasionally - like a volcano - sleeping a hundred years and then ...
I do not listen to music when I paint - the TV is rushing to me.
Leonardo inspires me... I love piloting battles, but also the desert". Uwe Lindau.

One of his biggest installations belongs to the Berardo Collection in Lisbon. Last solo show was Alquimia (Na Tasca), catalogue by Rajele Jain, Travessa da Ermida - Belém, Lisbon 2017.
Cardoso reflects the joy and drama(???) of SUBURBAN cultures of the Mega-Polis with it's common people.
Lately he focuses also on the lack of straight communication due to too much technology devices everywhere.
"We are reminded of the significance of companions, community, togetherness, bodies. This is also another aspect: the meaning of bodies in the communication process In today’s time of post- and trans-human concepts and virtual messengers." Rajele Jain.
